Shikinah Art by Vonnie

Shikinah Art is an expression of God's amazing creativity through my paintings. The definition of Shikinah is Cloud of God's Glory. The first time I heard this word it created a stirring in my heart. To find the meaning was like putting music to words, it brought it to life. I visualized a cloud of bright glowing light eminating from all directions, a blinding light. My hope is that my art will evoke the same spiritual inspiration in others that Shikinah has evoked within me.

The Inspiration of a Seascape

The family was in Fripp Island this summer. I was enjoying a beautiful afternoon on our deck over looking the ocean. This particular path meandering through the seascape really caught my eye. I found my paints and began to work at that moment. The mixture of sky, sea, sand and foliage all blended together to make a little paradise.
