The Inspiration of a Purple Iris

Art by Vonnie
The iris is one of my favorite flowers. Colorful flowers always represent hope and promise to me. As I painted this piece and most of my florals, I thought about how dormant the flower lays for the winter months and it looks as though it's beauty is gone forever, never to return. Then one day, it's bright beautiful head springs forth from the earth bringing new life. Those flowers bring a song to my soul!
When I'm feeling desolate or hopeless, I think of the miracle of the flowers and how they survive long hard winters. It gives me hope and I know that I too, just like the flowers will bloom once again.

Vonnie, The purple Iris is also one of my favorite! This painting is one of my favorites as well! An Iris has special meaning to me as it reminds me of my Mother's Iris garden in PA. She has hundreds, maybe even thousands of lovely Iris in her garden. Continue to use your gift from God in painting. You really have a talent to inspire others! Peace Out ~CC =)

About Me

United States
Let's see, I love beautiful things. I love to express my soul through my paintings. Singing is a huge part of who I am. I love people...I come to life when I'm connected to others. I have alot of love and compassion for animals. Good healthy food is very important to me. My husband has blue eyes and a nice size head. His forehead is high, which I am told, means a high level of intelligence! We have two beautiful dogs, Sadie and Anuk. Maintaining good stable mental health is important to me because I tend to go out into left field and maybe off the map every once in a while. Don't YOU? Enough about me...
